Chaunna Brooke here… Justin (my husband) asked me to give everyone a quick rundown of how & why we started LearnWebsiteFlipping.com… so I’ll take you back a few years.

Back in 2006, Justin came to me and asked, “Please, please, please can I quit my job (at Wendy’s) and work fulltime from home?” At the time, I was in college finishing up my Bachelors in Elementary Ed, Working fulltime, AND we had a 3-year-old son. WOW… what a time to quit your day job and work from home.

Well, I’m not quite sure how he talked me into it, but that following week, Justin quit his job, and I started worrying. His plan was to start building sites for local businesses and then make his money as a Webmaster. Well, it didn’t take him long to realize he was still working for someone else and dealing with even bigger headaches than just flipping burgers.

From there, he got into affiliate marketing… and we went 5 months before he made a single dollar! Just as I was about to give in and beg him to get another “J-O-B” he started to bring in some income – well it wasn’t paying all the bills, but it was some success for all his hard work! This was about the time where I graduated and we moved to the east coast where I got a teaching job.

We spent the next 8 months living with his parents. Man, that was a hard decision, but a good one. I was able to stop stressing over paying the bills and Justin was able to reinvest in his business. We were doing pretty good, but still needed that little extra cash for family trips, nice evening outings, and such. This is where website flipping comes in…

Christmas of 06 was the first time, we had a little extra cash for gift giving, but Justin wanted more. You see we spent that last 4 years being a broke college couple and really wanted to have a nice Christmas – so he created a site and sold it for like $500. WOW talk about some extra Christmas presents!

From there he started flipping sites from $100 - $1000 and sometimes higher. He did it so we could take a 4-day trip to the Keys, and road trips to hang out with college buddies for a weekend. Justin even flipped a site to a make little extra cash for his internship with Russell Brunson. I got so tired of waking up at 6 am to head to work and Justin telling me he made my entire two-week pay check in just one night… I quit teaching this past summer and starting learning what he knew so that I could be by his side to run the biz.

In July, we planned our first big Family vacation to New York… while traveling from Philadelphia (where we visited his grandparents) Justin posted one of his sites up for sale, and sold it for $15, 000. WOWZERS! Man was that a great vacation – we even eloped!
